AbstractIntroductionThe mortality rate of hospitalized patients with severe hospital-acquired pneumonia (SHAP) remains high. Empirical broad-spectrum antibiotic coverage and the misuse of high-grade antibiotics could lead to the emergence of multi-drug and even pandrug-resistant bacteria.
