Invasive cardiac lipoma at the left ventricular intermuscular region: A case report
Exp Ther Med. 2024 Jan 8;27(2):85. doi: 10.3892/etm.2024.12373. eCollection 2024 Feb.ABSTRACTThe present study described the case of a 22-year-old woman who had symptoms of left chest pain for >6 months, with further aggravation over 2 days. Computed tomography (CT) images of the mediastinal and pulmonary windows showed low-density shadows in the left ventricle. Echocardiography indicated a slightly stronger echo cluster in the left ventricle, with a range of ~29x30x35 mm, which was closely related to the lower wall and part of the posterior wall of the left ventricle. Contrast-enhanced ultrasound showed that the left v...

Parapharyngeal Lipoma Extending to Skull Base: A Case Report with Surgical Approaches
We report a case of 66 years old female patient with left side face swelling extending to neck. On clinical examination, it was found soft, non-tender, mobile swelling present over left side pre-auricular region. It was extending from pretragal area superiorly to left submandibular region inferiorly. CECT neck and fine needle aspiration cytology was done to know the benign nature of disease. It suggest tumor extending from skull base to C6 vertebral level in parapharyngeal space. Tumor was excised via Trans parotid-transcervical approach. Parapharyngeal lipomas are confined to either the prestyloid or post styloid compartm...

A rare case of an intraosseous lipoma associated with the resorption of a mandibular third molar
ConclusionTo the authors' knowledge, this is only the second documented case of an IL associated with tooth resorption. Findings from this case further our knowledge of the relatively uncommon pathology of intraosseous lipomas in the mandible and highlight the need for histopathological documentation and reporting of apical lesions. Nodular cystic fat necrosis: a distinctive rare soft-tissue mass
We report the case of a 34-year-old female who was evaluated for a right lower extremity soft-tissue mass, found to be a large cystic lesion bound by fibrous tissue containing innumerable, freely mobile nodules of fat. Her presentation suggested the diagnosis of nodular cystic fat necrosis (NCFN), a rare entity that likely represents a morphological subset of fat necrosis potentially caused by vascular insufficiency secondary to local trauma. Her lesion was best visualized using MRI, which revealed characteristic imaging features of NCFN including nodular lipid-signal foci that suppress on fat-saturated sequences, intrales...

Endobronchial Lipoma: A Rare Cause of Bronchial Stenosis or Obstruction
This study seeks to clarify the clinical features and interventions of EL, aiming to improve its diagnosis and outcomes. A retrospective review was conducted on 28516 outpatients treated between January 2015 and December 2019 at the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University to collect patients diagnosed with EL. Their clinical, bronchoscopic, chest imaging, and histopathological features along with management were analyzed. Among the patients reviewed, nine were histopathologically diagnosed with EL, comprising seven males and two females. All EL ...

Cardiac lipoma in a young lady
Key Clinical MessageTo confirm the diagnosis of cardiac lipomas, it is crucial to use multimodality imaging and also histopathology examination if the patient underwent surgery. But surgery is not needed in many cases unless there are life-threatening situations.AbstractCardiac lipoma is a rare condition which is believed as a benign tumor; here, we want to present a case of young adult lady who came to our hospital complaining of chest pain and diagnosed cardiac mass by echocardiography that underwent cardiac MRI which showed cardiac lipoma and managed conservatively by serial echocardiography.
