Academic nursing education in Germany: Similarities and differences in formal structure
DISCUSSION: Due to the high number of validations (20 from 26), the results are meaningful. The findings suggest that it is often less content-related than pragmatic reasons or external constraints that guide the design of the degree programs. From a vocational education and training perspective, too few alternations between practical and academic study phases or very extensive self-study phases could be disadvantageous for the students' acquisition of competencies.PMID:38413290 | DOI:10.1016/j.zefq.2023.12.006 (Source: Zeitschrift fur Evidenz, Fortbildung und Qualitat im Gesundheitswesen)

Evaluation of electronic medical records from general practices using the example of the diagnosis of community-acquired pneumonia: A qualitative feasibility study
CONCLUSION: Based on the example of diagnosed CAP in a GP setting, the use of data extracted from an EMR system seems to be feasible to answer simple clinical questions. However, it is necessary to adapt the data export, and a comparison with a small number of manually evaluated cases is useful to achieve valid results.PMID:38388279 | DOI:10.1016/j.zefq.2023.12.005 (Source: Zeitschrift fur Evidenz, Fortbildung und Qualitat im Gesundheitswesen)
