The presumed consent legislation - A success factor or a disruptive factor for tissue donation? A qualitative study based on multidisciplinary interviews with experts
CONCLUSION: The present study indicates that the presumed consent legislation is not a success factor for increasing the number of tissue donors in Germany. It would be far more effective to improve structures and processes in order to identify the large number of potential tissue donors and to be able to conduct informed conversations with their relatives. Information measures for the general public and professionals, which clearly differentiate between tissue donation and organ donation, are also more promising than fruitless debates about the introduction of the presumed consent legislation.PMID:37806815 | DOI:10.1016/j...

Clinical research in service of clinical medicine: Contexts, practice, methodology and theory of Paul Martin ís "clinical proof" - part 3: Causally relevant elements of Martini's clinical proof and epistemological remarks
Z Evid Fortbild Qual Gesundhwes. 2023 Sep 27:S1865-9217(23)00163-0. doi: 10.1016/j.zefq.2023.07.005. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTIn the third part of our quadripartite series on Paul Martini and his concept of clinical proof we shortly present the mostly procedural elements of his test of treatment. We discuss their causal conduciveness: what do they contribute to infer causality from effect? Finally we comment on some of Martini's epistemological assumptions and methodological decisions that underpin his method of proof.PMID:37775355 | DOI:10.1016/j.zefq.2023.07.005 (Source: Zeitschrift fur Evidenz, Fortbildung und Qual...
