Practice and challenges of delegating medical tasks in the interprofessional everyday work of inpatient healthcare in Germany - An exploratory survey
CONCLUSION: Across the different professional groups DMT was considered beneficial and serving the interests of patients. Targeted promotion of safe and cost-effective DMT should be incorporated into medical education. Achieving greater benefits from DMT requires explicit legal frameworks, effective communication within the team and, in particular, adequate staffing among the professional groups responsible for delegated tasks.PMID:38519356 | DOI:10.1016/j.zefq.2024.01.007 (Source: Zeitschrift fur Evidenz, Fortbildung und Qualitat im Gesundheitswesen)

Needs and feasibility of living systematic reviews (LSRs): Experience from LSRs on COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness
Z Evid Fortbild Qual Gesundhwes. 2024 Mar 21:S1865-9217(24)00007-2. doi: 10.1016/j.zefq.2024.01.003. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTDuring 2021 and 2023, a team of researchers at the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) and partnering institutions conducted two living systematic reviews (LSRs) on the effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines in different age groups to inform recommendations of the Standing Committee on Vaccination in Germany (Ständige Impfkommission, STIKO). Based on our experience from the realization of these LSRs, we developed certain criteria to assess the needs and feasibility of conducting LSRs. Combining these with...

Evidence-based practice in Bachelor of Nursing programmes in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland: A survey of general conditions, teaching content and methods
CONCLUSIONS: Topics on evidence-based practice are an integral part of bachelor's degree programs in nursing in German-speaking countries. An increase in teaching units, active learning methods and the growing interconnection between education and practice could improve the acquisition of competencies and attitudes of students regarding EBP and further advance its implementation in practice.PMID:38519358 | DOI:10.1016/j.zefq.2024.01.006 (Source: Zeitschrift fur Evidenz, Fortbildung und Qualitat im Gesundheitswesen)

Visions for planetary health: Results from open-ended questions of survey participants after a virtual planetary health lecture series
CONCLUSION: The results of this study provide first insights into the planetary health visions of those whom we would consider members of a movement aligned behind the idea of planetary health. In future editions, the Planetary Health Academy could integrate more discursive elements with a particular focus on negotiating future visions to support the creation of a critical mass of change agents within the health community and beyond.PMID:38508897 | DOI:10.1016/j.zefq.2023.12.002 (Source: Zeitschrift fur Evidenz, Fortbildung und Qualitat im Gesundheitswesen)

Implementation of a novel form of care for the early detection and prevention of emotional and behavioral problems in children in the pediatric setting: Qualitative interviews with pediatricians, practice staff and parents
CONCLUSION: An adoption of the novel form of care (SDQ screening and targeted allocation to indicated preventive programs and further services) to standard pediatric care unfolds its benefits if preventive and care services for EBPs in children are made available nationwide.PMID:38503633 | DOI:10.1016/j.zefq.2023.12.004 (Source: Zeitschrift fur Evidenz, Fortbildung und Qualitat im Gesundheitswesen)
