Dynamo Kids!/ ¡Niños Dinámicos! A Web Site for Pediatric Primary Care Providers to Offer Parents of Children 6−12 Years Old With Overweight and Obesity: Web Site Development and Protocol for Pilot Study
Introduction: A self-guided web site offered by pediatric primary care providers could help parents implement healthy behaviors. Method: The Dynamo Kids/ ¡Niños Dinámicos program was developed with input from parents and health care professionals, creating a bilingual site for parents to learn why and how to implement healthy behavior changes for their children. Parental perceptions of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sleep of children with neurodevelopmental disorders
Little is known about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on sleep in school-aged children with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs). The present study aimed to: 1) determine and describe the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and 2) identify and describe contributing factors. Parents of children with NDDs and insomnia symptoms (n  = 100) were surveyed to determine if their child's sleep had changed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Parents who reported changes were asked to describe how the pandemic influenced their child's sleep. (Source: Journal of Pediatric Health Care)

Investigating the Effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Pediatric Body Mass Index, and Health Status in an Inner-City, Low-Income Setting
The COVID-19 pandemic required unprecedented containment measures, including prolonged stay-at-home orders, to combat spread and prevent loss of life. One of the consequences of these mandates was the closure of schools. Children in resource-limited communities already experiencing disparities were placed at a significant disadvantage by the closure of schools. Many depended on the school systems as their primary source of nutrient-rich food. Additionally, for many, schools provide the only safe place for outdoor play and physical activity. The Impact of COVID-19 on Systems of Care for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs
The COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented challenges for children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN) and their families. The unpredictable nature of the virus constantly changed the playing field that spanned healthcare, education, family, and community systems. For decades, CYSHCN and their families and caregivers have relied on all four of these systems to meet their myriad and often complex needs. Before COVID-19 children and families faced gaps in these systems and challenges in coordinating care between individuals and professionals across systems. (Source: Journal of Pediatric Health Care)

Evaluating the Practice of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners: Is It Time for Dual Primary and Acute Care Preparation?
Pediatric nurse practitioners (PNPs) have been an integral part of the health care team for over 50 years. The pediatric health care landscape has been changing, with shorter hospital stays, increased needs for complex chronic health management, and inadequate access to pediatric specialists (Basco, Rimsza, Committee on Pediatric Workforce,& American Academy of Pediatrics, 2013; Bucholz, Toomey,& Schuster, 2019). These changing circumstances require an adaptable PNP workforce to practice in various settings and with patients of varying acuity. (Source: Journal of Pediatric Health Care)
