Physicochemical interaction of rifampicin and ritonavir-lopinavir solid dispersion: an in-vitro and ex-vivo investigation
CONCLUSION: RIF, RTV and LOP in presence of each other on pH-shift, results in co-precipitation in the amorphous form (miscible) which leads to reduction in the highest attainable degree of supersaturation. This reduction corresponds to the mole fraction of the RIF, RTV and LOP within the studied system. These findings suggest that the concomitant administration of these drugs may lead to physicochemical interactions and possible ineffective therapy.PMID:38305806 | DOI:10.1080/03639045.2024.2309508 (Source: Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy)

Effect of stoichiometry upon the characteristics of quercetin-arginine cocrystals formulated through solution crystallization
CONCLUSION: Morphology of cocrystals remained unaffected by the solvent type, stoichiometry and the presence of surfactant. We noticed that the cocrystals could improve the aqueous solubility of QCT.PMID:38226968 | DOI:10.1080/03639045.2024.2306281 (Source: Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy)

Integrating chemical similarity and bioequivalence: an overall evaluation of the quality consistency of traditional decoction and dispensing granule decoction of < em > Amomum villosum < /em >
CONCLUSION: The chemical composition of DGD and TD differed. The biological activity of DGD-A/B was consistent with that of TD, while the difference between DGD-C and TD was significant. A comprehensive evaluation showed that TD exhibited better quality than DGD. DGD manufacturers should optimize the preparation process to enhance product quality.PMID:38194223 | DOI:10.1080/03639045.2024.2303381 (Source: Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy)
