Comparison of Various Metrics of Repetitive Head Impact Exposure And Their Associations With Neurocognition in Collegiate-Aged Athletes
CONCLUSIONS: Current results find no evidence that RHI in collegiate-aged athletes is associated with worse neurocognition. Although there was extensive overlap among RHI measures, results demonstrate that categorizing athletes based on their current sport undercounts the lifetime RHI exposure in many NCS athletes.PMID:36617242 | DOI:10.1093/arclin/acac107 (Source: Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology)

New Child and Adolescent Memory Profile Embedded Performance Validity Test
CONCLUSIONS: The originally proposed ChAMP VI has insufficient SN in pediatric TBI. However, this study yields a promising new ChAMP VI-SS, with classification metrics that exceed any other current embedded PVT in pediatrics.PMID:36617240 | DOI:10.1093/arclin/acac110 (Source: Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology)

Picnic, Accident or Cookies? A Systematic Approach to Guide the Selection of the Picture Definition Tasks in Linguistic Assessment
CONCLUSION: All three tasks had limitations and advantages compared with each other. We recommend the development of novel picture description tasks that would be more effective in eliciting specific language features in Turkish-speaking individuals.PMID:36594105 | DOI:10.1093/arclin/acac109 (Source: Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology)

Specificity of Embedded Performance Validity Tests in Elderly Veterans with Mild and Major Neurocognitive Disorder
CONCLUSIONS: RDS, Trails B:A, and CVLT-II SF Forced Choice reflect promising embedded PVTs in the context of dementia evaluations. DKEFS Letter and Category Fluency appear too sensitive to genuine neurocognitive decline and, therefore, are inappropriate PVTs in adults with MCI or dementia. Additional research into embedded PVT sensitivity (via known-groups or analogue designs) in MCI and dementia is needed.PMID:36578198 | DOI:10.1093/arclin/acac106 (Source: Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology)
