Potential Anomalous Findings on the Cerberus Subtest of the TEACh 2 in a Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Cohort
DISCUSSION: Within our data, performance on the Cerberus subset of the TEA-Ch 2 yields somewhat questionable data from which to draw conclusions regarding sustained attentional ability in a pediatric neuro-oncology cohort.PMID:38215788 | DOI:10.1093/arclin/acad104 (Source: Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology)

Screening for Dyslexia in University Students: a Standardized Procedure Based on Conditional Inference Trees
CONCLUSIONS: The novel use of the conditional inference tree methodology explored in the present study offered a way of moving toward a more efficient screening battery using only a subset of the seven tests examined. Both clinical and theoretical implications of these findings are discussed.PMID:38216147 | DOI:10.1093/arclin/acad103 (Source: Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology)

Measuring Multidimensional Aspects of Health in the Oldest Old Using the NIH Toolbox: Results From the ARMADA Study
CONCLUSIONS: Results support the use of the NIHTB in persons over 85 with normal cognition. As expected, fluid reasoning abilities and certain motor and sensory functions decreased with age in the oldest old. Inclusion of motor and sensation batteries is warranted when studying trajectories of aging in the oldest old to allow for multidimensional characterization of health.PMID:38216151 | DOI:10.1093/arclin/acad105 (Source: Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology)

From Evidence-Based Guidelines to Clinical Practice: Pediatric Neuropsychology Care in Multidisciplinary Clinics
CONCLUSION: Tiered neuropsychological care in pediatric MDCs is feasible, and provider experience ratings indicate high acceptability. Practical steps for development of MDCs are provided, including identifying teams, clinic goals and outcomes, operational logistics, and billing.PMID:38205830 | DOI:10.1093/arclin/acad099 (Source: Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology)

Physical Activity Moderates the Association Between Pain and Depressive Symptoms Among Persons with Multiple Sclerosis
CONCLUSION: We found that global physical activity moderated the relationship between pain and depressive symptoms in MS. Specifically, pain influenced depressive symptoms in PwMS who engaged in less overall physical activity. These results highlight the importance of screening PwMS for pain and suggest that behavioral interventions aimed at increasing overall lifestyle physical activity may be useful in improving depressive outcomes in PwMS with pain.PMID:38186329 | DOI:10.1093/arclin/acad097 (Source: Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology)

Associations between Informant-Reported Cognitive Complaint and Longitudinal Cognitive Decline in Subjective Cognitive Decline A 7-Year Longitudinal Study
CONCLUSIONS: SCD participants with +IMD may have poorer cognition and are more likely to convert to cognitive impairment over time. Our long-term follow-up study confirmed the importance of informants' perceptions of SCD, which can help clinicians identify individuals at risk of cognitive decline.PMID:38180808 | DOI:10.1093/arclin/acad096 (Source: Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology)

Development of a Rasch-calibrated emotion recognition video test for patients with schizophrenia
This study was divided into two phases. First, we selected candidate CERVT items/videos of 8 basic emotion domains from a published database. Second, we validated the selected CERVT items using Rasch analysis. Finally, the 269 patients and 177 healthy adults were recruited to ensure the participants had diverse abilities. After the removal of 21 misfit (infit or outfit mean square > 1.4) items and adjustment of the item difficulties of the 26 items with severe differential item functioning, the remaining 217 items were finalized as the CERVT items. All the CERVT items showed good model fits with small eigenvalues (≤ 2...
