Gradual dosing of ursodeoxycholic acid in mothers with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy may improve composite neonatal outcome
CONCLUSIONS: Compared to the administration of a full UDCA dose, the administration of a gradually increasing dose of UDCA may be associated with a greater gestational age at delivery and fewer events of unfavorable composite neonatal outcomes. These novel findings should be retested prospectively in a large cohort of patients.PMID:38403070 | DOI:10.1016/j.aohep.2024.101490 (Source: Annals of Hepatology)

Outcomes and factors associated with relapse of vaccine-induced liver injury after SARS CoV-2 immunization: a nationwide study
CONCLUSIONS: SARS CoV-2 vaccine-induced liver injury is heterogeneous but mostly immune-mediated. Relapse of liver injury after re-exposure to vaccine is frequent (28.0%) but mild. Immunosuppression at booster administration is associated with a lower risk of liver injury.PMID:38403068 | DOI:10.1016/j.aohep.2024.101489 (Source: Annals of Hepatology)

Psoriasis and steatotic liver disease: Are PNPLA3 and TM6SF2 polymorphisms suitable for the hepato-dermal axis hypothesis?
CONCLUSIONS: MetS and T2DM confer higher odds for steatosis and advanced fibrosis in individuals with psoriasis. PNPLA3 G allele, but not TM6SF2 polymorphism, impacts a 5-fold odds of advanced liver fibrosis.PMID:38360269 | DOI:10.1016/j.aohep.2024.101477 (Source: Annals of Hepatology)
