Pathogenic role of Twist-1 protein in hydatidiform molar pregnancies and investigation of its potential diagnostic utility in complete moles
Complete and partial moles (PM) are the most common gestational trophoblastic diseases. Due to some overlapping morphological findings, ancillary studies may be necessary. (Source: Diagnostic Pathology)

High-intensity focused ultrasound as a pretreatment combined with hysteroscopic resection for gestational trophoblastic neoplasia with chemotherapy intolerance: a case report
CONCLUSION: Ultrasound-guided HIFU ablation may be a new choice for high-risk GTN patients with chemoresistance or chemo-intolerance. As a noninvasive pretreatment method, HIFU can shrink the uterine lesion, and reduce the risk of bleeding with no obvious effect on fertility.PMID:36966804 | DOI:10.1080/02656736.2023.2192448 (Source: International Journal of Hyperthermia)

Roles of N-linked glycosylation and glycan-binding proteins in placentation: trophoblast infiltration, immunomodulation, angiogenesis, and pathophysiology
Biochem Soc Trans. 2023 Mar 16:BST20221406. doi: 10.1042/BST20221406. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTProtein N-linked glycosylation is a structurally diverse post-translational modification that stores biological information in a larger order of magnitude than other post-translational modifications such as phosphorylation, ubiquitination and acetylation. This gives N-glycosylated proteins a diverse range of properties and allows glyco-codes (glycan-related information) to be deciphered by glycan-binding proteins (GBPs). The intervillous space of the placenta is richly populated with membrane-bound and secreted glycoproteins...

The Effects of Chemotherapy on the Levels of Serum Anti-M üllerian Hormone in Patients with Gestational Trophoblastic Neoplasia
CONCLUSION: Our study showed that fertility preservation is of great importance in patients with GTN treated with chemotherapy. Furthermore, both MTX and Act-D could have potential adverse effects on ovarian reserve.PMID:36919051 | PMC:PMC10008131 | DOI:10.18502/jri.v24i1.11908 (Source: Cancer Control)
