Improved recurrence rates and progression-free survival in primarily surgically treated oral squamous cell carcinoma – results from a German tertiary medical center
ConclusionsOur findings show a significant decrease in recurrence rates and enhanced PFS at a high-volume tertiary medical center in Germany compared to previous studies. Local recurrence was the primary form observed, with most recurrences happening within the initial twelve months post-surgery.
