Hematological malignancies: Prevalence and hematological characteristics in a single center in southern Saudi Arabia
CONCLUSION: Of the 210 leukemia cases diagnosed in the Aseer region between 2012-2022, the most common subtype was chronic myeloid leukemia, followed by acute myeloid leukemia. In all leukemia subtypes, distinctive significant changes were observed in hematological parameters, biochemical parameters, and coagulation profiles.PMID:38438211 | DOI:10.15537/smj.2024.45.3.20230776 (Source: Saudi Medical Journal)

Gene expression profiling on CML patients with Philadelphia translocation
CONCLUSIONS: The results demonstrate a correlation between signaling pathways and the development of treatment resistance in patients with CML. These pathways exhibited enhanced efficacy in transmitting signals downstream of the TKI target, BCR-ABL. Several target genes require additional validation in a more extensive cohort study to verify their correlation with TKI resistance. The present research highlights that many BCR-ABL-independent pathways may be correlated with resistance, thus enhancing the prospective therapy options for patients with CML.PMID:38436167 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202402_35455 (Source: European Revie...
