Acknowledging religion in cognitive behavioural therapy: The effect on alliance, treatment expectations and credibility in a video-vignette study
CONCLUSIONS: These findings suggest that mentioning religion as a value to be considered in therapy has some positive impacts upon how therapy is perceived by British Muslims. An evaluation of survive and thrive: a 10-week group psychoeducational course for adult interpersonal trauma survivors in Scotland
This study investigates the efficacy of Survive and Thrive, a 10-week group psychoeducational course for adult survivors of interpersonal trauma. Between August 2019 and February 2022, participants were enrolled on the course. The Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation-Outcome Measure (CORE-OM) and Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale-Short Form (DERS-SF) were administered pre-intervention and immediately post-intervention. Refined Sound Therapy in Combination with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to Treat Tinnitus: A Randomized Controlled Trial
CONCLUSIONS: (1) This new combination is more effective than post-auricular injection of lidocaine and methylprednisolone sodium succinate in treating tinnitus and improving psychological symptoms. The latter had no effect on improving psychological indicators. (2) With this combination, patients with different tinnitus frequencies experienced different improvements in anxiety. (3) Low-frequency tinnitus seems have been more likely to cause sound adaptation.
