Results from a phase I trial of pembrolizumab plus vorinostat in relapsed/refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma
In conclusion, Pembrolizumab with Vorinostat was tolerable and produced responses in relapsed/refractory B-cell NHL, with particularly notable efficacy in PMBL.PMID:37470137 | DOI:10.3324/haematol.2023.283002 (Source: Haematologica)

Haptoglobin Gene Expression and Anthracycline-Related Cardiomyopathy in Childhood Cancer Survivors: A COG-ALTE03N1 Report
CONCLUSIONS: These findings provide evidence of a novel association between HP2 allele and cardiomyopathy. HP binds to free hemoglobin to form an HP-hemoglobin complex, thereby preventing oxidative damage from free heme iron, thus providing biological plausibility to the mechanistic basis of the present observation.PMID:37397079 | PMC:PMC10308004 | DOI:10.1016/j.jaccao.2022.09.009 (Source: Cancer Control)

CCTA Characteristics And Their Association With Complications After PCIs For LAD-Diagonal Bifurcation Lesions: A Case Series
Introduction: Coronary artery bifurcation lesions are encountered in approximately 20% of percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs). They have a high incidence of procedural complications such as side branch occlusions which can cause myocardial infarctions or death. The RESOLVE score uses six plaque characteristics to risk stratify bifurcation lesions and is depicted in Table 1. A RESOLVE score greater than ten is associated with a higher rate of side branch occlusions. The V-RESOLVE Score, where the same characteristics (except for TIMI Flow) are estimated by coronary CT angiography (CCTA), has been shown to be just as ...

Integration of Laboratory Data into a National Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Stud Health Technol Inform. 2023 Jun 29;305:491-494. doi: 10.3233/SHTI230540.ABSTRACTThis paper discusses the development and implementation of an API to integrate external laboratory information systems with a national e-health operator using LOINC codes as a standard measurement vocabulary. The integration provides many benefits, including reduced risk of medical errors, unnecessary tests, and administrative burden on healthcare providers. Security measures were implemented to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive patient information. The "Armed eHealth" mobile application was developed to allow patients to access the...
