Effectiveness of acupuncture for fatigue in patients with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis: a randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSIONS: Acupuncture combined with amantadine and routine care compared with amantadine and routine care alone appears to be an effective short-term treatment for reducing fatigue and enhancing quality of life, including physical function and mental status, in patients with RRMS.PMID:36722418 | DOI:10.1177/09645284221150824 (Source: Acupuncture in Medicine)

Deep brain stimulation for Parkinson's disease: A case for patient empowerment
I am a 52-year-old right-handed man, diagnosed with Parkinson's disease aged 40 years. In early 2020, my levodopa equivalent daily dose (LEDD) of 1375  mg comprised levodopa/carbidopa/entacapone, pramipexole, amantadine and selegiline; daytime levodopa frequency was 2–3 hourly. Unfortunately, medication was no longer adequately controlling my symptoms, with breakthrough bradykinesia, gait disturbance, impaired verbal fluency and dyskinesia. My Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS)-III scores were 40 (medication-off) and 8 (medication-on). (Source: BRAIN STIMULATION: Basic, Translational, and Clinical Researc...

Tolerability of pharmacological agents in the treatment of headache following brain injury: a scoping review
CONCLUSION: The unique needs of people with TBI must be considered when instituting pharmacotherapy. More studies specifically evaluating medication tolerability in PTH are needed.PMID:36637191 | DOI:10.1080/02699052.2023.2165156 (Source: Brain Injury)
