One-tube RPA-CRISPR Cas12a/Cas13a rapid detection of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus
Anal Chim Acta. 2023 Oct 16;1278:341757. doi: 10.1016/j.aca.2023.341757. Epub 2023 Aug 26.ABSTRACTAt present, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) has caused a serious impact on a global scale. The infection and carrier rate of MRSA in the community is increasing year by year, but there is still no convenient detection system for on-site rapid detection. It is very important to select a rapid detection system to accurately and quickly detect patients infected with MRSA. We have developed a high-efficient single-tube detection platform based on RPA and CRISPR reaction system to detect the genes of mecA and clf...

De novo whole transcriptome analysis of Aeromonas hydrophila isolated from the gut of an infected Labeo rohita
Aeromonas hydrophila is a major generalist bacterial pathogen causing severe infections and mortalities in aquatic animals. Its genome, which was the first to be sequenced from the Aeromonas genus, may serve as a model for studying pathogenic mechanisms. To explore the pathogen-host fitness mechanism of bacterium, a comprehensive comparative transcriptome ecotype analysis of A. hydrophila isolated from the gut of Labeo rohita during infection was performed. Special characteristics in gene expression, gene ontology terms and expression of pathogenesis-associated genes, including genes encoding secreted proteins, candidate e...

Flunitrazepam and its metabolites exposure disturb the zebrafish gut-liver axis: Combined microbiome and metabolomic analysis
In this study, we investigated the effects of the benzodiazepine drug flunitrazepam (FLZ) and its metabolite 7-aminoflunitrazepam (7-FLZ) on the gut-liver axis of zebrafish. Zebrafish were exposed to two concentrations of FLZ and 7-FLZ (0.05 and 1 μg/L) for 30 days. Results showed that both FLZ and 7-FLZ exposure altered the relative abundance of Proteobacteria at the phylum level, with significant differences observed at the genus level for pathogenic bacteria such as Paracoccus, Shewanella, and Aeromonas. Metabolomics results showed both exposures significantly interfered with nucleotide and amino acid metabolism. The i...
