Same-day Discharge for Cleft Palate Repair: A Single-Surgeon Retrospective Analysis
CONCLUSIONS: In a low-risk patient population, same-day discharge following primary cleft palate repair may be safely undertaken and result in similar short-term outcomes and 1-year fistula incidence as patients admitted for overnight stay.PMID:38715425 | DOI:10.1177/10556656241251932 (Source: The Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal)

Effect of perioperative intravenous ibuprofen versus acetaminophen on postoperative opioid consumption and pain after general anesthesia: a systematic review and meta-analysis with trial sequential analysis of randomized controlled trials
CONCLUSIONS: Perioperative IV ibuprofen reduced 24 h opioid consumption and pain severity up to 12 h postoperatively compared to acetaminophen. Additional research is required to assess pain intensity beyond 12 h and side effects.PMID:38711266 | DOI:10.4097/kja.24089 (Source: Korean Journal of Anesthesiology)

Azadirachta indica leaf extract based green-synthesized ZnO nanoparticles coated on spent tea waste activated carbon for pharmaceuticals and personal care products removal
This study evaluates performance of Azadirachta indica leaf extract-based green-synthesized ZnO nanoparticles coated on spent tea waste activated carbon (ZTAC) for removing sulfadiazine (SZN) and acetaminophen (ACN). Adsorption investigations were conducted in single-component (ACN/SZN) and binary-component (ACN+SZN) systems. The synthesized ZTAC was characterized using SEM, XRD, FTIR, EDX, porosimetry and pHpzc analysis. The study examines impact of time (1 to 60 min), dose (0.2-4 g/L), pH (2 to 12) and PPCPs concentration (1-100 mg/L) on ACN and SZN removal. Various kinetic and isotherm models were employed to elucidate ...

Detection of acetaminophen and P-aminophenol simultaneously by an electrochemical sensor based on Fe-NC derivatives attached with Ti < sub > 3 < /sub > C < sub > 2 < /sub > QDs
Talanta. 2024 May 1;275:126192. doi: 10.1016/j.talanta.2024.126192. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTIn this paper, Ti3C2 QDs and Fe-ZIF-8 were synthesized by a straightforward hydrothermal method. Fe-ZIF-8 was pyrolyzed at high temperatures to obtain Fe-nanoclusters (Fe-NC). Then Fe-NC is mixed with Ti3C2 QDs to form a new composite material (Ti3C2 QDs/Fe-NC), and its microstructure and composition were analyzed by technology. The proposed material can detect acetaminophen (PA) and P-aminophenol (4-AP) simultaneously with excellent detection performance. With the best conditions, the linear ranges and detection limits were 0...
