Prevalence of Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease in Children with Renal Failure Underwent Treatment with Dialysis

Conclusions: The prevalence of NAFLD in our studied children with renal failure who underwent treatment with dialysis was like the general population and it was not associated with the biochemical and anthropometric characteristics of the patients. Given the importance of NAFLD in renal failure patients as well as its subtle nature, it is recommended to screen patients with CKD for NAFLD.
