Symptomatic Hypercalcemia in Patients with Primary Hyperparathyroidism Is Associated with Severity of Disease, Polypharmacy, and Comorbidity.
In conclusion, hypercalcemic-related symptoms occurred in 16% of PHPT patients. Risk factors were severity of the parathyroid tumor function, multimorbidity, and polypharmacy.
