Disparities in treatment of diabetes and hypertension among groups of foreign origin and the general Finnish population
ConclusionsThis study indicates disparities in prevalence and management of diabetes and hypertension and their associated risk factors among ethnic groups. Diabetes, CVD risks and treatment outcomes in patients were sub-optimal, especially among foreign origin groups. Comprehensive health promotion strategies are needed to improve cardiometabolic health in vulnerable populations.
