A recent article in the Associated Press noted a study that found that short people had a 50 percent higher chance of getting heart disease, than taller people. Besides being hereditary, being short could also be because there is a growth hormone deficiency or malnutrition, celiac sprue or parasites. And malnutrition in our society, or at least in the subjects they were looking at in the study, was not really a factor.
