American Association for Cancer Research‐Ocular Melanoma Foundation Fellowship, in Honor of Robert C. Allen, MD Application deadline: December 17, 2014 at noon, U.S. Eastern Time The AACR‐Ocular Melanoma Foundation Fellowship, in honor of Robert C. Allen, MD, represents a joint effort to encourage and support a postdoctoral or clinical research fellow to conduct ocular/uveal melanoma research and to establish a successful career path in ophthalmology, ocular oncology, uveal melanoma cancer biology or similar field. The research proposed for funding may be basic, translational or clinical in nature and must have direct, primary applicability and relevance to ocular/uveal melanoma. The fellowship provides a one‐year grant of $50,000 to support the salary and benefits of the Fellow while working on a mentored ocular/uveal melanoma research project. A partial amount of the funds may be designated for non‐personnel expenses, such as research/laboratory supplies, equipment, publication charges for manuscripts that pertain directly to the funded project and other research expenses.
