Aromatase inhibitor use is a risk factor of carotid plaque presence in endocrine-responsive breast cancer patients.

Conclusions: There was no significant difference in lipid profile itself between two groups, but more importantly the presence of the plaque was much higher indicating possible detrimental effect of AI on cardiovascular system. PMID: 28838227 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
