Reply from the authors to “Comments on ‘Insulin resistance, postprandial GLP-1 and adaptive immunity are the main predictors of NAFLD in a homogeneous population at high cardiovascular risk’”
We thank Dr. Sani and Dr. Ayubi for their interest in our article entitled “Insulin resistance, postprandial GLP-1 and adaptive immunity are the main predictors of NAFLD in a homogeneous population at high cardiovascular risk” [1]. In their Letter to the Editor [2], Dr. Sani and Dr. Ayubi, while stating that the statistical method used in our study is correct, report t he criticisms related to the use of stepwise multiple regression as being frequently driven by statistics more than by clinical judgement.
