Thromboembolic events in patients with severe pandemic influenza A/H1N1.

CONCLUSIONS: We recommend that patients with severe influenza A/H1N1 pneumonitis and respiratory failure be administered DVT prophylaxis in particular if there are additional risk factors for TVE.
