Heart Transplant Outcomes in Adults with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy: A Contemporary Analysis

Purpose: Heart transplant (HT) is the definitive therapy for adults with end stage symptomatic hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). Post-transplant outcomes are uncertain with few reports of inferior findings compared with other heart failure (HF) etiologies. Using adult HT listings and transplants, we compared outcomes between those with HCM, ischemic cardiomyopathies (ICM) or other HF etiologies in the contemporary era in the United States.
