Headaches and Muscle Cramps
Many CF warriors experience chronic headaches. I have not yet heard from any doctors a clear and reasonable explanation as to why we have the headaches. My suspicion is that CF is not directly the cause of the headaches, but all the stuff we do and go through as a result of CF can point to several culprits. All I can contribute to this issue is my own experience.
I have gone through periods of time with continuous headaches (if I dont medicate the headache) and periods of time with absolutely no headaches. By the process of elimination, I have come to some conclusions.

A case of generalized disability and muscle weakness.
Ghofran is 42 year old female who presented with fatigue, joint pain, proximal muscle weakness and agonising whole body pain. Nothing remarkable on her examination. Upon investigation for connective tissue disease everything was normal. Her vitamin D level was severely lowered. Again her related metabolic profile was normal and no obvious cause for the vitamin D deficiency. I commenced her on high dose ergocalciferol. On follow up visit one month later a failure to increase vitamin D is noticed and the patient still suffering. I am eager to read your kind responses to this dilemma case and your suggestions about next step....

Does anyone deal with constant nausea?
I've known I had CF for about four years now. I'm 51 years old.
I have a deltaF508 and a D1152h so it's like medium onset instead of late onset.
I've had constant daily nausea as well as very poor appetite since I was roughly in my mid thirties but getting worse now.
Just wondering if anyone else experiences this extreme hunger pain / nausea on a regular basis?
I assume it's part of the mal-absorption complex of symptoms.... extreme hunger pains could be a typical response to a failure to deliver the vitamin D and calcium like we're supposed to.
I have the feeling of craving something but it's like an itch I can never...

Trying to concieve help please
Hi I'm Kim and just wondering about conceiving. My husband and I have been trying a year ( even though I got sick for 3 months) and I used suggestions from the cf form using preseed and musinex during ovulation. It has yet to work. I'm looking into fertility treatment but besides taking vitamins and using preseed and musinex is there anything else that might give me better chance of conceiving naturally with out having to go thru and pay for iui or ivf and all fertility treatment. Abby Clinic Update
I have updated everyone on facebook but I haven't been on here in quite some time because I have been on my first Vacation since Abby was diagnosed. I actually got to take my full 2 weeks and didn't have to spend my entire vacation at the hospital!!! It was fantastic!!! It would have been better had we have not been broke but still loving life with Kalydeco!!! So Abby has been taking Kalydeco since June 28, 2012. We went to clinic a couple of weeks ago and discovered that we had a completely new CF team! Dr was gone...fellow leaving...and nurse had a baby and not coming back. Wow!! So here is the comparison:

Discussion. Paradox effects of vitamin D maybe due to the different doses of it.One explantation could be that vitamin D has it,s effects on insulin resistance in a specific level and in lower or higher level or doses ,it may have paradox effects maybe because of the effects on different genes in nucleus and DNA.The difference of results of different studies about the effect of vitamin D on insulin resistance maybe due to different dosage and serum levels for vitamin D that used in different studies.
