Associations between sheep meat intake frequency and blood plasma levels of metabolites and lipoproteins in healthy Uzbek adults
ConclusionThe results showed that SMIF was confounded by nationality,  sex, body mass index (BMI), age, intake frequency of total meat and fish in ascending order (p <  0.01). Multivariate and univariate data analyses showed differences in the levels of plasma metabolites and lipoproteins with respect to SMIF. The effect of SMIF after statistical adjustment by nationality, sex, BMI, age, intake frequency of total meat and fish decreased but remained significan t. Pyruvic acid, phenylalanine, ornithine, and acetic acid remained significantly lower in the high SMIF group, whereas choline, asparagine, and dimethylg...

Comparative Analysis of Central Asian Publication Activity Using SCImago Journal & amp; Country Rank Data in 1996-2021
CONCLUSION: Despite a rising number of articles, CACs are not at the forefront of scientific productivity in the Asiatic Region. Kazakhstan is the leading country in scientific productivity among CACs. Nonetheless, the increasing quantity of articles from CACs over the last ten years suggests that these countries have the infrastructure and human resources to enhance scientific research and production.PMID:37038641 | DOI:10.3346/jkms.2023.38.e104 (Source: Journal of Korean Medical Science)

Structure of a New Saponin from Saponaria officinalis growing in Uzbekistan
The new natural saponin 3β,16α-dihydroxy-23-oxo-oleanan-28,13β-olide (1) was isolated from the aerial part ofSaponaria officinalis. Its structure was established by analyzing 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic and high-resolution mass-spectrometric data. The antimicrobial activity of the new saponin against the microorganismsPseudomonas aeruginosa,Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus,Bacillus subtilis, andCandida albicans was studied.
