Botulinum toxin use in patients with post-stroke spasticity: a nationwide retrospective study from France
ConclusionOur analysis of the exhaustive PMSI database showed a suboptimal implementation of BoNT-A treatment recommendations in France. BoNT-A treatment initiation and re-administration are low, particularly in patients with post-stroke spasticity. Further investigations may help explain this observation, and may target specific actions to improve spasticity-related care pathway.

ConclusionThe potential benefits and diversity of telerehabilitation are already highly visible from clinical studies, and further improvements in these technologies are expected to enhance functionality and accessibility for patients. Is a high chest CT severity score a risk factor for an increased incidence of long-term neuroimaging findings after COVID-19?
From the outbreak of the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on 17 November 2019 in Wuhan to 2 November 2022, the total number of cases was reported as 617,879,854 and the total number of deaths was reported as 6,546,448 worldwide 1. In Turkey, the first case was reported on March 11, 2020. Until November 2, 2022, the total number of cases was 16,873,793 and the total number of deaths was 101,139 1. Today, there is a significant decrease in the number of cases and deaths as a result of vaccination and mutations in the virus.

Impact of improved stroke green channel process on the delay of intravenous thrombolysis in patients with acute cerebral infarction during the COVID-19 pandemic: An observational study

Impact of coronavirus disease 2019 on time delay and functional outcome of mechanical thrombectomy in Tokyo, Japan
Several papers from around the world have reported that outbreaks of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have led to the following time delays associated with endovascular mechanical thrombectomy (MT) for patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS): onset-to-door (O2D) time,1,2 door-to-puncture (D2P) time and door-to-recanalization time.3 Several speculative factors may explain these delays, such as a collapse of emergency services focused on patients with COVID-192 and patients ’ fear of exposure to COVID-19 through interactions within the health-care system.

ConclusionsThe COVID-19 pandemic caused the decrease of admissions and prolonged the time of the green channel for stroke, which led to the worse short-term prognosis of AIS patients during the pandemic. It ’s necessary to ensure an effective green channel and provide adequate medical resources during the pandemic period to reduce the damage caused by COVID-19.

Increased Incidence of In-Hospital Ischemic Stroke During SARS-CoV-2 Outbreak: A Single-Center Study
ConclusionsSARS-CoV-2 outbreak was associated with an increase in the incidence of IHIS when compared with inpatients from a historical cohort. Viral infection itself may be related to the increased risk of IHIS among patients with COVID-19, but in view of our results from the 20NCC, it is likely that other factors, such as hospital saturation and overwhelming of health systems, may have played a role in the increased frequency of IHIS.

Delayed Stroke Treatment during COVID-19 Pandemic in China
Conclusions: COVID-19 pandemic has remarkable impacts on the management of AIS. Both pre- and posthospital delays were prolonged significantly, and proportion of patients arrived within the 4.5-h time window for intravenous thrombolysis treatment was decreased.
