Case report: Rapid improvement of crossed cerebellar diaschisis after intravascular laser irradiation of blood in a case of stroke
Rationale: Crossed cerebellar diaschisis (CCD) is a poor prognostic factor after stroke because without immediate cerebral reperfusion no further improvements in the patient's condition can be achieved. We investigated the clinical effects of intravascular laser irradiation therapy (ILIB) on CCD and evaluated the therapeutic effect in the sub-acute post-stroke stage. Dabigatran vs. Aspirin for Secondary Prevention After Embolic Stroke of Undetermined Source  - Japanese Subanalysis of the RE-SPECT ESUS Randomized Controlled Trial.

Acute prolonged motor aura resembling ischemic stroke after COVID − 19 vaccination (CoronaVac): the first case report
In this study, we present the first case of stroke mimic after CoronaVac vaccination. After negative imaging studies had been performed repeatedly, we reach a conclusion that stroke is unlikely to be the cause. Presumably, this phenomenon could possibly have abnormal functional imaging study. Therefore, we believed that it might be due to cortical spreading depression, like migraine aura, which we had conducted a literature review.

Predictors of Development of Atrial Fibrillation in Patients With Embolic Stroke Of Undetermined Source: An Analysis of the RE-SPECT ESUS Trial
Conclusions: Besides age as the most important variable, several other factors, including hypertension, higher body mass index, and lack of diabetes, are independent predictors of AF after ESUS. When baseline NT-proBNP was available, only older age and elevation of this biomarker were predictive of subsequent AF. Hypothesis: Presymptomatic treatment of Sturge-Weber Syndrome With Aspirin and Antiepileptic Drugs May Delay Seizure Onset
Sturge-Weber Syndrome (SWS) is a neurocutaneous disorder caused by a somatic mosaic mutation in GNAQ.1 SWS brain involvement causes seizures, stroke-like episodes and/or neurological deficits such as hemiparesis and intellectual disability. Seventy-five percent of infants with SWS will develop seizures within the first year of life.2 Those with more severe epilepsy experience greater cognitive deficits and intellectual disability.3 There is ictal single-photon emission computed tomography evidence that, in SWS, the seizures themselves may contribute to the brain injury due to an abnormal hemodynamic response.
