ConclusionLDL level <50 mg/dL independently predicted delayed PH following thrombectomy and LDL >100 was shown to be a protective factor, irrespective of statin use. ConclusionMaximum contrast density predicted the occurrence of delayed petechial hemorrhage, while contrast volume predicted the occurrence and volume of delayed parenchymal hematoma. The Great Contrast Shortage of 2022 —Lessons learnt in Australia
ConclusionOur findings demonstrate that the IBCM shortage crisis had a very significant impact on the delivery of healthcare. While V/Q scans could (partially) substitute for CTPA studies in suspected pulmonary emboli, there appeared to be no valid alternative for CTNA studies in stroke calls. The unexpected and critical shortage of IBCM forced healthcare professionals to conserve resources, prioritise indications, triage patients based on risk, explore alternate imaging strategies and prepare for similar events recurring in the future.

Research advances in imaging markers for predicting hematoma expansion in intracerebral hemorrhage: a narrative review
ConclusionThe management of ICH presents a significant challenge, and identifying high-risk patients for HE is crucial to improving outcomes. The use of imaging markers for HE prediction can aid in the rapid identification of such patients and may serve as potential targets for anti-HE therapies in the acute phase of ICH. Therefore, further research is needed to establish the reliability and validity of these markers in identifying high-risk patients and guiding appropriate treatment decisions.

The diagnostic value of quantitative parameters on dual-layer detector-based spectral CT in identifying ischaemic stroke

Abstract No. 516 Risk of postcontrast acute kidney injury in patients with gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding undergoing computed tomography angiography (CTA) followed by visceral angiography within 24 hours
The use of iodine-based contrast agents may lead to nephropathy, and patients with underlying chronic kidney disease (CKD) are at increased risk for this complication. In a recent study of patients with stroke who underwent CTA followed by cerebral angiography, 9.5% of patients developed postcontrast acute kidney injury.1 The purpose of this study was to assess the risk of postcontrast acute kidney injury in patients with GI bleeding undergoing CTA followed by visceral angiography within 24 hours.
