CONCLUSIONS: Preclinical testing demonstrated the conformability of the CLAAS implant and its ability to seal the LAA. Effectiveness and Safety of Non-Vitamin K Antagonist Oral Anticoagulants in Asian Patients with Atrial Fibrillation and Valvular Heart Disease.
CONCLUSIONS: NOACs had a comparable risk of ischemic stroke and bleeding in patients with AF and VHD, and reduced the risk of venous thromboembolism, intracranial hemorrhage, and mortality, compared to warfarin. Therefore, NOAC is an effective and safe alternative to warfarin in these patients.

Patent foramen ovale closure in the management of cryptogenic stroke: a review of current literature and guideline statements.
CONCLUSION: PFO closure can be considered for the prevention of recurrent cryptogenic stroke in patients aged ≤60 years after a thorough evaluation and discussion about benefits and potential risks (including but not limited to atrial fibrillation) of the procedure. Accumulating evidence supports prognostic, quality of life, and economic benefit from percutaneous PFO closure with newer generation closure devices in the right subset of patients.

Patients with acute myocardial infarction and atrial fibrillation: association of anemia with risk of in-hospital bleeding, stroke and other death causes.
Conclusions: In the Chinese in-hospital AMI and AF cohort, anemia was shown to be associated with increased risk of any bleeding, minor bleeding, gastrointestinal bleeding and other death causes, but not the risk of stroke or/and SE. Trial Registration Not applicable.
