Prevalence and predisposing conditions for atrial fibrillation in hospitalised patients with hypertension.
CONCLUSIONS: Among hospitalised patients with hypertension, AF is present in a significant proportion of patients. Conditions predisposing to this arrhythmia in hypertensives include HF, IHD, thyroid diseases, and previous myocardial infarction.
