Associations of multiple plasma metals with the risk of ischemic stroke: A case-control study.
CONCLUSIONS: Our study suggested that higher plasma concentrations of aluminum, arsenic, and cadmium, and lower concentrations of iron and selenium may increase the risk of IS. Polyoxometalate nanoclusters act as broad-spectrum antioxidants to alleviate ischemic stroke by intrathecal injection
Conclusion: Intrathecal injection significantly improved the delivery and efficacy of POM nanoclusters to the brain, resulting in the rapid accumulation of POM nanoclusters in the ischemic penumbra. Due to this, we confirmed that the POM nanoclusters could be used as nano-antioxidants to inhibit oxidative stress as well as inflammatory damage effectively.

Plasma Metal Concentrations and Incident Coronary Heart Disease in Chinese Adults: The Dongfeng-Tongji Cohort
Conclusions: Our study suggested that incident CHD was positively associated with plasma levels of titanium and arsenic, and inversely associated with selenium. What Causes Microcephaly?
Discussion Microcephaly is usually defined as an occipitofrontal head circumference (OFC) more than 2 standard deviations (SD) below the mean for sex, age and ethnicity. Severe microcephaly is used for OFC < 3 standard deviations. Rates of microcephaly range from 0.5-12 patients/10,000 live births. The OFC should be measured at every well child visit and at other opportunities and plotted on standard growth charts. The utility of electrocardiography and echocardiography in copper deficiency-induced cardiac damage in goats.
In conclusion, CuD disturbs hemato-biochemical parameters and results in myocardial damage and cardiac dilatation that increases some ECG and echocardiographic parameters without development of systolic dysfunction.
