COVID-19 and neurologic manifestations: a synthesis from the child neurologist's corner
CONCLUSIONS: Various neurologic manifestations have been associated with children's SARS-CoV-2 infection. It is important to identify and give them proper and opportune treatment because they can be potentially grave and life-threatening; some can lead to long-lasting sequelae. Different neuro-pathophysiological mechanisms have been proposed, however, a causal relationship between SARS-CoV-2 infection and neurologic manifestations remains to be proven. The impact of a structured rehabilitation program for uninsured individuals.
Conclusions/Implication: These results support previously noted gaps in care among individuals with BI, SCI, stroke, and amputation and suggest that a monthly clinic can improve physical quality of life. This exploratory study aims to lay the foundation for future research that is needed to understand the factors that exclude these individuals from the health care system and to help key stakeholders to advocate for these patients and improve their early access to rehabilitation care.
