Contemporary outcomes of long-term anticoagulation in COVID-19 patients: a regression matched sensitivity analysis of the national inpatient sample
CONCLUSIONS: Compared to COVID-19 patients not on long-term anticoagulation, we observed lower in-hospital mortality, stroke and acute myocardial infarction in COVID-19 patients on long-term anticoagulation. Initial therapeutic anticoagulation with rivaroxaban compared to prophylactic therapy with heparins in moderate to severe COVID-19: results of the COVID-PREVENT randomized controlled trial
ConclusionsTherapeutic anticoagulation with rivaroxaban compared to prophylactic anticoagulation with a heparin did not improve surrogates of clinical outcome in patients with moderate to severe COVID-19. Whether initial rivaroxaban at therapeutic doses might be superior to thromboprophylaxis in patients with COVID-19 and a high risk as defined byd-dimer > 2 ULN needs confirmation in further studies.Graphical abstract

Incidental Finding of Arteria Lusoria in COVID-19 Patient with Aortic Thrombus Complicated by Recurrent Limb Ischemia
We report the case of a 64-year-old woman with recent severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 pneumonia who was admitted to the hospital due to a giant floating thrombus in the ascending aorta with multiple ischemic events. Aortic computed tomography angiogram revealed an aberrant right subclavian artery associated with bicarotid trunk that might have protected carotid arteries from embol migration. COVID-19 Infected ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction in INDIA (COSTA INDIA)

Rivaroxaban for Prevention of Thrombotic Events, Hospitalization, and Death in Outpatients With COVID-19: A Randomized Clinical Trial
CONCLUSIONS: The study was terminated prematurely after enrollment of 32% of planned accrual because of recruitment challenges and lower-than-expected event rate.
