Stroke remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the United States. Potential therapies have encountered significant barriers in attempts to translate bench to bedside research. Because of this, we have evaluated novel roles for FDA approved drugs, repurposed for treating stroke. Two such drugs, verapamil and magnesium, represent drug classes with a long history in neuroprotection trials with mixed results. Novel Use of a Nurse-Led Telemedicine Team in Acute Stroke: A Retrospective Review of the Impact on a Regional Health Care System

Cerebrovascular Risk Profiles in a Saudi Arabian Cohort of Young Stroke Patients
Conclusion: Cerebrovascular risk profiles and stroke etiologies in our cohort of young stroke patients differ from those of previous cohorts, suggesting the need for tailored prevention strategies that take into account local epidemiological data on cerebrovascular health.
