Effectiveness and Safety of Non-Vitamin K Antagonist Oral Anticoagulants in Asian Patients with Atrial Fibrillation and Valvular Heart Disease.
CONCLUSIONS: NOACs had a comparable risk of ischemic stroke and bleeding in patients with AF and VHD, and reduced the risk of venous thromboembolism, intracranial hemorrhage, and mortality, compared to warfarin. Incidence and consequences of resuming oral anticoagulant therapy following hematuria and risks of ischemic stroke and major bleeding in patients with atrial fibrillation
In conclusion, more and more patients who suffer a hematuria while on oral anticoagulant therapy resume NOAC. Patients resuming NOAC have similar risks of ischemic stroke/systemic embolism and major bleeding compared with those resuming VKA.

Comparing the Effectiveness and Safety of Non-Vitamin K Antagonist Oral Anticoagulants and Warfarin in the Elderly Asian Patients with Atrial Fibrillation: A Nationwide Cohort Study.
CONCLUSIONS: Compared to warfarin, NOACs were associated with a significantly lower risk of adverse events, with heterogeneity in treatment effects among different age strata. Oral Anticoagulation in Very Elderly Patients with Atrial Fibrillation - A Nationwide Cohort Study.
Conclusions -Among AF patients age ≥90 years, warfarin was associated with a lower risk of ischemic stroke and positive NCB. Compared to warfarin, NOACs were associated with a lower risk of ICH. Intake of potassium- and magnesium-enriched salt improves functional outcome after stroke: a randomized, multicenter, double-blind controlled trial Vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals
