Long-term mortality in patients with moyamoya angiopathy according to stroke presentation type in South Korea
ConclusionsOur study showed that moyamoya patients had different diagnosis ages and distinct survival courses according to stroke presentation type. Adult moyamoya patients with hemorrhagic presentation had the worst survival outcomes.

Risk of Incident Dementia According to Glycemic Status and Comorbidities of Hyperglycemia: A Nationwide Population-Based Cohort Study
CONCLUSIONSMild degrees of hyperglycemia and presence of comorbidities were associated with incident dementia. Intervention during the prodromal stage of a chronic disease (e.g., prediabetes) could be considered for dementia prevention.

Interrupted versus uninterrupted anticoagulation therapy for catheter ablation in adults with arrhythmias
CONCLUSIONS: This meta-analysis showed that the evidence is uncertain to inform the decision to either interrupt or continue anticoagulation therapy around CA procedure in adults with arrhythmia on outcomes of thromboembolic events, major and minor bleeding, all-cause mortality, asymptomatic thromboembolic events, and a composite endpoint of thromboembolic events (stroke, systemic embolism, major bleeding, and all-cause mortality). Prediction of recurrent stroke among ischemic stroke patients with atrial fibrillation: Development and validation of a risk score model
ConclusionsNeither conventional risk stratification tools nor our newly developed comprehensive prediction model using available clinical factors seemed to be suitable for identifying patients at high risk of recurrent ischemic stroke among AIS patients with AF in this modern direct oral anticoagulant era. Detailed individual information, including imaging, may be warranted to build a more robust and precise risk prediction model for stroke survivors with AF.

IJERPH, Vol. 18, Pages 8962: Current Update on the Clinical Utility of MMSE and MoCA for Stroke Patients in Asia: A Systematic Review
Conclusion: Clinicians in Asia are strongly recommended to consider the education level of stroke patients when interpreting the results of the MMSE and MoCA. Further studies in other Asian countries are needed to understand their clinical value in stroke settings.
