Brain MRI correlations with disease burden and biomarkers in Fabry disease
ConclusionBrain MRI revealed progressive lacunar infarctions, white matter hyperintensities, and decreased brain volume in patients with Fabry disease. Brain MRI lesions were closely related to onset-age; disease duration, severity, burden; and plasma  Lyso-Gb3. However, they were not associated with sex, α-galactosidase A activity, orGLA mutation type.

Neurological telerehabilitation in the COVID-19 era – current perspectives through a bibliometric analysis
ConclusionA greater interest in the subject was observed in China with greater relevance of journals and institutions focused on neurology. However, despite telerehabilitation being an effective alternative in the context of the pandemic, few studies have explored this modality.

Predictors of failure of early neurological improvement in early time window following endovascular thrombectomy: a multi-center study
ConclusionDiabetes mellitus history, pre-stroke mRS, longer last known well-to-puncture time, lack of modified thrombolysis in cerebral infarction = 3, and the number of mechanical thrombectomy passes are the predictors of FENI. Future large-scale studies are required to validate these findings.

Statins may Decrease Aneurysm wall Enhancement of Unruptured Fusiform Intracranial Aneurysms: A high-resolution 3T MRI Study
AbstractInflammation plays an integral role in the formation, growth, and progression to rupture of unruptured intracranial aneurysms. Aneurysm wall enhancement (AWE) in high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (HR-MRI) has emerged as a surrogate biomarker of vessel wall inflammation and unruptured intracranial aneurysm instability. We investigated the correlation between anti-inflammatory drug use and three-dimensional AWE of fusiform intracranial aneurysms (FIAs). We retrospectively analyzed consecutive patients with FIAs in our database who underwent 3T HR-MRI at three Chinese centers. FIAs were classified as fusiform...

Risk factors and a prediction model for unruptured intracranial aneurysms in patients with ischemic stroke using carotid intima-media thickness and systemic atherosclerosis
ConclusionThe findings revealed that the risk factors for UIA in patients with IS included aspirin use, elevated CRP level, and smaller carotid IMT, and the predictive value of the prediction model was relatively better.

Comparing 5G mobile stroke unit and emergency medical service in patients acute ischemic stroke eligible for t ‐PA treatment: A prospective, single‐center clinical trial in Ya'an, China
ConclusionsOur findings indicate that 5G MSU care significantly reduces the time from symptom onset to stroke diagnosis and intravenous thrombolysis in patients with AIS, resulting in improved functional outcomes compared to EMS care. As China continues its deployment of 5G technology and other digital infrastructures, the adoption of 5G MSU care on a broader scale may eventually supplant traditional stroke treatment approaches.

Vasoprotective Effects of Hyperoside against Cerebral Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury in Rats: Activation of Large-Conductance Ca < sup > 2+ < /sup > -Activated K < sup > + < /sup > Channels
Neural Plast. 2023 Aug 14;2023:5545205. doi: 10.1155/2023/5545205. eCollection 2023.ABSTRACTHyperoside (Hyp), a kind of Chinese herbal medicine, exerts multiple therapeutic effects on many diseases. However, the role and mechanisms of Hyp in vascular pathophysiology in ischemic stroke need to be further established. The study aimed to investigate the role of (large-conductance Ca2+-activated K+) BK channels on the vasoprotection of Hyp against cerebral ischemia and reperfusion (I/R) injury in rats. The concentration gradient of Hyp was pretreated in both the middle cerebral artery occlusion and reperfusion model and oxygen...
