Impact of COVID-19 on Acute Stroke Presentation in a Designated COVID-19 Hospital
Conclusions: Although fewer acute stroke patients sought medical care in this designated COVID-19 hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic, this type of hospital was more efficient for timely treatment of acute stroke. Recognizing how acute strokes presented in designated COVID-19 hospitals will contribute to appropriate adjustments in strategy for dealing with acute stroke during COVID-19 and future pandemics.

Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on acute stroke care: An  analysis of the 24-month data from a comprehensive stroke center in Shanghai, China
CONCLUSIONS: During the 24 months of COVID-19, a prolongation of stroke onset to hospital arrival and to intravenous rt-PA administration times were noted. Meanwhile, acute stroke patients needed to stay in the ED for a longer time before hospitalization. A Sharp Decline in Burden of Stroke in Rural China During COVID-19 Pandemic
This study aimed to explore trends in the burden from stroke associated with home quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic. Patients with a first-ever stroke registered between January 1 and April 20 from 2010 to 2020 were included in this study. We compared the incidence and the rates of mortality, hospitalization, and diagnosis by neuroimaging for first-ever stroke among a low-income population in rural China during the study periods. Slower recovery of outpatient clinics than inpatient services for stroke and other neurological diseases after COVID-19 Pandemic.

Impact of the pandemic of COVID-19 on emergency attendance for stroke and acute myocardial infarction in Beijing, China
This study covered from 03/01/2018 to 06/03/2020, including 19  weeks of lockdown period and 99 weeks before. A segmented Poisson regression model was used to estimate the immediate change and the monthly change in the secular trend of the emergency attendance rates. Effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on reperfusion therapy for acute ischemic stroke patients in Huizhou City, China
ConclusionDuring the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the number of AIS patients receiving reperfusion therapy significantly decreased when compared to the same period in 2019. The patients ’ condition increased severity, ODT increased, and the DNT decreased. DPT was not significant for self-visiting and ambulance patients. Impact of improved stroke green channel process on the delay of intravenous thrombolysis in patients with acute cerebral infarction during the COVID-19 pandemic: An observational study
ConclusionDuring the two periods of the COVID-19 outbreak (SARS-CoV-2 and Omicron), after the improvement of the green channel for intravenous thrombolysis, there might be some delay in in-hospital DIT during the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak, however, the in-hospital delay indicator DNT for intravenous thrombolysis were not affected.

Acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke in two covid-19 patients.
We report two cases with coincident presentation of COVID-19 and cerebrovascular accident. Further studies are needed for a comprehensive understanding of the neurological pathology of COVID-19 and its effects on the nervous system, but stroke teams should be wary of the fact that COVID-19 patients can present with cerebrovascular accidents.
