Impact of a health promotion program on hospital admission expenses for stroke in the Brazilian state of Pernambuco
ConclusionThe presence of the Health Gym Program led to a reduction in expenses related to hospital admissions for stroke, which may indicate that this program effectively expands the scope of health promotion actions in primary healthcare. The evidence generated from this study can be used to implement evidence-based policies aimed at preventing and controlling chronic diseases in Brazil.
