Risk of stroke following antivenom use after venomous snakebite: correspondence
We read with great interest the epidemiological study by Hunget al.1 on the risk of stroke with antivenom use after venomous snakebite in Taiwan. According to the national medical claims data, the authors provide us with useful information and disclose that venomous snakebite is associated with an increased risk of hemorrhagic stroke after the use of antivenom after using the matching propensity score in relevant measurable covariates. Bilateral ptosis caused by patent foramen ovale-associated stroke
A 39-year-old woman presented with sudden onset bilateral ptosis and binocular diplopia for 3 days. The double vision was horizontal and most prominent when she was looking to the left side. Evaluation of an online intervention for improving stroke survivors ’ health-related quality of life: A randomised controlled trial
ConclusionsThe P2S online healthy lifestyle program improved stroke survivors ’ self-reported global ratings of HRQoL (as measured by EQ-VAS) at 6-month follow-up.
