A Nomogram Model for Predicting Prognosis in Spontaneous Intracerebral Hemorrhage Patients
CONCLUSIONS: ICH score, GCS score, irregular shape, uneven density, IVH relation, surgery are easily available indicators to assist neurologists in formulating the most appropriate therapy for every intracranial hemorrhage patient. Further large prospective clinical trials are needed to obtain more integrated and reliable conclusions.PMID:36992585 | DOI:10.31083/j.jin2202042

Risk factors of impaired employability after cerebral venous thrombosis
CONCLUSIONS: Impaired employability after CVT was associated with motor deficits, aphasia, mental status disorders, and NIHSS score at admission. Even if they recover from CVT without physical disability, patients with a good functional prognosis have a higher risk of employment failure due to their higher rates of aphasia and CVT recurrence.PMID:36601664 | DOI:10.1111/cns.14083

Cerebral Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury and Pharmacologic Preconditioning as a Means to Reduce Stroke-induced Inflammation and Damage
Neurochem Res. 2022 Nov 3. doi: 10.1007/s11064-022-03789-5. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTStroke is one of the leading causes of death and long-term serious disability. Current therapeutic strategy is limited to thrombolytic agents, consequently, boosting endogenous neuroprotective mechanisms of the brain to protect itself against harmful stimuli and restore from damages are widely studied. Preconditioned brain to tolerate cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury could be initiated by several different pharmacological and mechanical strategies, such as ischemic preconditioning, ethanol pharmacological preconditioning and other...
