E-157 Emergent intracranial stenting for symptomatic basilar artery and intradural vertebral artery stenosis
ConclusionEmergent intracranial stenting for symptomatic stenoses in the posterior circulation is feasible and safe when compared to the natural history of the disease.Disclosures A. Kuhn: None. J. E-192 Association of myeloperoxidase-DNA complexes and high mobility group box 1 protein with delayed cerebral ischemia following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage
High mobility group box 1 protein (HMGB1) serves as a key player in aseptic inflammation. Admission serum HMGB1 has been identified as a biomarker predictive of delayed cerebral ischemia following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). Released by leucocytes and platelets, HMGB1 induces neutrophils to release condensed chromatin and protein granules, termed neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs). Myeloperoxidase (MPO)-DNA complexes are one major NET biomarker and have been associated with arterial and venous thrombosis formation. The prevalence and role of MPO-DNA in aSAH remains to be determined.A post-hoc analysis of ...

E-223 Atypical delayed mechanical thrombectomy for calcified cardiac emboli
ConclusionMechanical thrombectomy for intermittent stroke symptoms due to CCE was successfully achieved using an Embotrap device despite several days of relapsing-remitting symptoms with full neurologic recovery. Regardless of prior reports showing a low success rate, with the advent and availability of advanced thrombectomy devices, tailored endovascular treatment for patients with CCE to the brain should be strongly considered.Disclosures A. Ischaemic stroke due to basilar artery occlusion in a puerperal patient with SARS-CoV-2 infection
CONCLUSION: Severe SARS-CoV-2 disease results in a prothrombotic state that correlates with the prognosis of the disease. The last trimester of pregnancy and the puerperium are known prothrombotic risk factors. Recommendations for anticoagulation management in pregnant patients with COVID-19 are based on limited evidence. This is the first case to be published in Spain involving cerebral arterial thrombosis in a pregnant patient with SARS-CoV-2 infection.PMID:35866535 | DOI:10.33588/rn.7504.2021373

Long-term cardiovascular outcomes and temporal trends in patients diagnosed with ANCA-associated vasculitis: a Danish nationwide registry study
ConclusionsPatients with AAV are at increased risk of heart failure, atrial-/ventricular arrhythmias, venous thrombotic events, ischaemic stroke and myocardial infarction. Furthermore, patients with AAV were more frequently examined with coronary procedures and underwent more coronary revascularizations. No temporal changes in ischaemic cardiovascular outcomes were observed, albeit the cardiovascular mortality has decreased over time.

Artery of Percheron Occlusion in China: A Case Report and Chinese Literature Review
Conclusion: Our report suggests that unusual mood disorder and language disorder of aged patients might indicate the AOP occlusion, and cerebral imaging of magnetic resonance imaging (better with magnetic resonance angiography) should be performed to establish the diagnosis of AOP occlusion. The fast and accurate diagnosis of stroke because of AOP occlusion could best benefit the patients.

Carotid Siphon Calcification Predicts the Symptomatic Progression in Branch Artery Disease With Intracranial Artery Stenosis
CONCLUSIONS: We found that carotid siphon calcification was associated with BAD and its computed tomography values could predict the symptomatic progression in patients with intracranial arterial atherosclerotic disease and BAD, indicating the important role of carotid calcification in B-type intracranial arterial atherosclerotic disease.REGISTRATION: URL: http://www.chictr.org.cn; Unique identifier: ChiCTR1800018315.PMID:35652332 | DOI:10.1161/ATVBAHA.122.317670
