Retrograde Angiography to Detect Dropped Thrombus in Mechanical Thrombectomy
CONCLUSIONS: The retrograde angiography to detect dropped thrombus is a technique to detect a dropped thrombus at the balloon-guiding catheter tip and allows us to retrieve it with subsequent mechanical thrombectomy procedures while maintaining the balloon-guiding catheter inflated and it may be useful for reducing the risk of embolization to distal territory/embolization to new territory.PMID:34704511 | DOI:10.1177/15910199211052726

The efficacy and safety of quantitative flow ratio-guided complete revascularization in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction and multivessel disease: A pilot randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSIONS: In conclusion, STEMI and MVD patients can benefit from QFR-G-CR of non-IRA lesions in the initial stages of acute MI. This can help reduce incidences of major adverse cardiovascular events and unstable angina, relative to IRA treatment only. No Association Between Thrombus Perviousness and Cardioembolic Stroke Etiology in Basilar Artery Occlusion Stroke
Conclusion: In contrast to proximal middle cerebral artery occlusions, TP in BAO patients is not associated with cardioembolic stroke etiology. Larger confirmatory studies to establish the potential role of TP for clinical applications should focus on patients with anterior circulation stroke.

Association of Regular Thrombus Surface Phenotype With Complete Recanalization in First-Line Contact Aspiration Thrombectomy for Basilar Artery Occlusion
Conclusion: The efficacy of CA may differ according to the angiographic thrombus surface phenotype in patients with BAO. A regular phenotype is associated with higher rates of complete recanalization in first-line CA. However, assessment of thrombus phenotype is frequently not feasible in BAO.

Retrograde chronic total occlusion percutaneous coronary intervention using single catheter: A single centre registry
CONCLUSIONS: Retrograde CTO PCI using single catheter is a technically challenging procedure when compared with other CTO PCI. Our study demonstrated acceptable outcomes which is comparable to other antegrade and retrograde CTO PCI registries.PMID:34474754 | DOI:10.1016/j.ihj.2021.06.006
