In this study, we will determine if cerebral blood flow (CBF) mapped in patients with chronic strokes can be further used to understand stroke-related factors and behavior.Methods: We collected perfusion MRI data using pseudo-Continuous Arterial Spin Labeling (pCASL) using a single post-labeling delay of 2,200 ms in 14 chronic PWA, along with high-resolution structural MRI to compute maps of tissue damage using Tissue Integrity Gradation via T2w T1w Ratio (TIGR). Which is responsible for aphasia by subcortical lesions? Subcortical lesions or the cortical hypoperfusion?
This study showed that aphasia to be more common in cases with cortical hypoperfusion in the dominant hemisphere than in cases without hypoperfusion. E-125 Gaze weakness neglect and speech (GWNS): an acute ischemic stroke scale of large vessel occlusion (LVO) in the emergency department for faster treatment
ConclusionsGWNS is an AISS of LVO which could be performed rapidly in ER. GWNS score 3 and 4 are associated with LVO, especially when gage deviation/preference are present. Additionally, GWNS scale was superior to NIHSS to detect LVO. Therefore, patients with AIS with GWNS score 3 or 4 could be directly send for early MT which will save time and millions of brain cells. Clinical characteristics and perfusion-computed tomography alterations in a series of patients with migraine with aura attended as stroke code
CONCLUSION: This is, to the best of our knowledge, the largest series of patients with MA managed as presumed stroke with clinical characteristics and PCT. In our study, most patients were young and had a prior history of migraine. PCT was normal in 88% of cases, with patients being still symptomatic by the time they were scanned. Effects of acupuncture plus language training on language function and cerebral blood flow in patients with motor aphasia after ischemic stroke
ConclusionAcupuncture at the Governor Vessel acupoints plus language training can produce valid efficacy in treating motor aphasia after ischemic stroke; it can notably improve the language function, everyday oral communication ability, and increase cerebral perfusion of the patients.

Perfusion image guided mechanical thrombectomy combined with tirofiban successfully revascularize systemic lupus erythematosus related acute large vessel occlusion: A case report
Rationale: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an important cause of stroke, more than a half the cases present as acute ischemic stroke. Thrombolysis is an effective choice in most cases, but for large vessel occlusion, mechanical thrombectomy is more effective. Here we reported a case of SLE-related stroke with left middle cerebral artery (MCA) occlusion, who was successfully treated by MT and tirofiban. COVID-19–Associated Ischemic Stroke in a Patient on Therapeutic Anticoagulation
Conclusion: Ischemic stroke in anticoagulated patients with COVID-19 has been previously reported. Such cases emphasize the severity of the coronavirus virus associated hypercoagulable state. A majority of reported cases have occurred in patients continuing their ambulatory therapy. Overall, such cases are likely underreported. There are current trials comparing therapeutic versus prophylactic dose anticoagulation in patients with COVID-19. There are no studies specifically addressing anticoagulation agent failure in these patients. Further research is required this area to determine the optimal therapy for patients with COVID-19.

Bridging Therapy for Acute Stroke as the Initial Manifestation of Takayasu Arteritis: A Case Report and Review of Literature
We report a rare case of a patient with TA initially presenting with AIS treated with bridging therapy with full recovery of neurological function. Bridging therapy should be taken into consideration for AIS in patients with TA. Further study is needed in this regard.

Ipsilateral Vocal Cord Paralysis After Acute Anterior Ischemic Stroke
