Comparison of Extramedullary and Intramedullary Implants for Stable Intertrochanteric Fractures: Have We Swung the Pendulum Too Far the Other Way?
DISCUSSION: Our study found that extramedullary implants were associated with lower transfusions rates, lower readmissions, and better patient disposition. Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the frequency, clinical spectrum and outcomes of pediatric guillain-Barr & #233; syndrome in India: A multicentric ambispective cohort study

Conclusion: The ongoing pandemic will continue to pose challenges to both physicians and patients. Patients in follow-up may need to be contacted regularly and counselled regarding the importance of maintaining drug compliance. PON1 (Paraoxonase 1) Q192R gene polymorphism in ischemic stroke among North Indian population
Conclusion: PON1 Q192R gene polymorphism is not associated with an increased risk of acute ischemic stroke in the North Indian population. Further studies with a larger sample size are needed before PON1 Q192R gene polymorphism can be considered as a genetic risk factor for ischemic stroke.

Cervical artery dissection: A common cause of stroke in young adults
Cervical artery dissection is a common cause of stroke in young adults and can lead to significant disability. Clinicians should be able to recognize the clinical presentation and diagnose this condition to prevent cerebral ischemia and its complications. Consider cervical artery dissection in a young adult with new-onset, unilateral head pain with or without neck pain with antecedent neck trauma, with or without neurologic deficits or risk factors for dissection. Early diagnosis can lead to better outcomes but the overall prognosis is good for young adults with cervical artery dissection.
