Crisaborole Inhibits Itch and Pain by Preventing Neutrophil Infiltration in a Mouse Model of Atopic Dermatitis
Acta Derm Venereol. 2023 Aug 22;103:adv13382. doi: 10.2340/actadv.v103.13382.ABSTRACTCrisaborole, a phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor, has been approved for the treatment of mild to moderate atopic dermatitis. Atopic dermatitis is often associated with increased pain. Using a mouse model, this study investigated whether crisaborole suppresses pain associated with atopic dermatitis and the potential mechanisms underlying it. The mouse model for atopic dermatitis was developed by repeatedly applying MC903. MC903-treated mice had increased spontaneous scratching (itch-related behaviour) and wiping behaviour (pain-related b...

Mg-Zn-Ca Alloy (ZX00) Screws Are Resorbed at a Mean of 2.5 Years After Medial Malleolar Fracture Fixation: Follow-up of a First-in-humans Application and Insights From a Sheep Model
CONCLUSION: In this sheep model, Mg-alloy (ZX00) screws showed a resorption to one-third of the original volume after 25 months, without eliciting adverse immunologic reactions, supporting biocompatibility during this period. Mg-alloy (ZX00) implants were not detectable on radiographs after a mean of 2.5 years, suggesting full resorption, but further studies are needed to assess environmental changes regarding bone quality at the implantation site after implant resorption.CLINICAL RELEVANCE: The study demonstrated successful healing of medial malleolar fractures using bioresorbable Mg-alloy screws without clinical complica...

Tidsskr Nor Laegeforen. 2023 Jul 26;143(11). doi: 10.4045/tidsskr.22.0782. Print 2023 Aug 15.ABSTRACTBACKGROUND: A man in his fifties with hypertension and no other previous health problems was admitted to the hospital after frequent episodes of retrosternal squeezing chest pain, and an episode of syncope. A recent computer tomography coronary angiography demonstrated normal coronary arteries with no atherosclerosis.CASE PRESENTATION: During admission, the patient developed several episodes of chest pain lasting five to fifteen minutes followed by non-sustained ventricular tachycardia, and initially no ST elevation in the ...
